Coherenceism (“we,” “our,” the “Site”) is a personal publishing project operated by Joshua Lossner. This policy explains what information we handle and how — including our use of Google and YouTube APIs.

Who we are

Coherenceism publishes original writing, philosophy, and AI-assisted music and videos at coherenceism.org and on its YouTube channel. It is a single-operator project; there are no visitor accounts.

Information we collect from visitors

We do not require accounts and we do not sell or share personal information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use this information to identify individuals, and we do not build advertising profiles. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Google and YouTube API data

Coherenceism uses Google and YouTube APIs to publish its own original videos to its own YouTube channel and to organize that channel’s own playlists.

  • This access is limited to the operator’s own Google/YouTube account.
  • We do not access, request, download, or store the Google or YouTube account data of site visitors or of any third party.
  • The only data we retain from the YouTube API is the public URL/ID of videos we ourselves upload, stored in our own private database to track what we have published.
  • OAuth credentials are stored securely on the operator’s own infrastructure with restricted file permissions and are never shared.

Limited Use disclosure. Coherenceism’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention and deletion

We retain only the minimal data described above. You may request deletion of any information that pertains to you, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing the contact below. We honor revocation of API access at any time via your Google Account permissions.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
